EU Soy Wax
100% natural soy wax in drops of European origin, for candles in containers.
This wax has a smooth and uniform finish and a white color, poor shrinkage when cooling and good adhesion to the glass. Furthermore, the diffusion of the perfume is excellent in case of addition of essential oils or fragrances. Suitable for use with candle dyes.
The wax is not tested on animals and is suitable for vegan use.
For advice on use, on identifying the correct wick and on the recommended percentages of colors and fragrances, refer to the additional information at the bottom of the page.
Recommended wick / candle diameter (in mm):
diameter 30 - 40 mm *: TCR 18/10
diameter 40 - 50 mm *: TCR 21/12
diameter 50 - 55 mm *: TCR 24/14
diameter 55 - 60 mm *: TCR 27/16
diameter 60 - 65 mm *: TCR 30/18
diameter 65 - 70 mm *: TCR 33/20
diameter 70 - 80 mm *: TCR 36/22 - RUSTIC WOOD WICK - NF
* These measurements are based on tests carried out in the laboratory using vegetable waxes free of fragrances and / or colors and are to be considered as simple suggestions. In case of use of fragrances it is recommended to increase the wick size by one measure.
METHOD OF USE
Step 1: Melt the wax - The wax should be heated to a temperature between 65 ° C and 75 ° C. Do not melt the wax at a temperature above 75 ° C. In case of exposure to too high temperatures for prolonged times the wax will tend to discolour.
Step 2: Add colors or fragrances - Once the wax has melted completely, add colors and / or fragrances. Always stir the mixture to ensure complete absorption. Recommended percentages of fragrance: 6-8%. Recommended percentage of color: 0.2%. The addition of stearin is not recommended.
Step 3: Prepare the wax - After the wax has completely melted, lower the temperature to 50-60 ° C. This will reduce the risk of the wax breaking or shrinking excessively when cooled.
Step 4: Pour in the wax - Make sure the container is slightly warm for a smoother result. Insert the wick of your choice and pour in the wax. Leave to cool until it has completely solidified. N.B. If poured too hot, the wax could create pits or holes that would disfigure the appearance of the candle. In this case, make a second casting or use the hot air of a hairdryer to melt the surface of the wax.
